Playable misbehavior.
Chupacabra is nervous energy. It’s made of unpredictable sounds—little freezes, digital stutters, broken sustains, bit-reduced flickers.
I started with real recordings—plucks, keys, winds, textures—and messed with them. Pitched them, degraded them, burned in some saturation until they felt fragile, twitchy, aleatoric.
These sounds are not lush or cinematic. They’re dry, brittle, and intentionally a little unpredicatble. They want to be noticed. Chupacabra isn’t smooth. It jitters. It skips. And then it’s gone.
