Detail Drums is a zoomed-in way of working with drums. Instead of treating the kit as a single instrument, it lets you focus on each element on its own. Need just a snare? You get rim shots, flams, side hits, center hits, and more, all with round robins and dynamic layers. The same approach applies to hi-hats, cymbals, and kicks. When you only need one drum but want more than one kind of hit, everything is there to make it feel natural, expressive, and alive.
The library includes 19,000 samples and 20 separate patches covering kicks, snares, toms, hats, and cymbals. You can play them together as a kit, or pull them apart and layer them into whatever production style you’re working in. Yes, it means each element lives on its own track, but a lot of producers already work that way. The result is a different, more intentional way of thinking about drum programming.
How it works:
Super simple. It’s all in one library for Kontakt. Use the dropdown menu or arrows to choose kit elements. Then there are controls for mono close mic, stereo overhead mic, punch (transient master attack), push (transient master release) and four helpful eq bands.
