Brushes are more than just soft drum sounds. They carry their own tone. With Brush you get both sides of the story: the surface being played and the character of the brush itself. Each patch includes four different surfaces, played with two contrasting brushes, and six articulations: left, right, flam, pull, scribble, and short roll.
I recorded around fifteen different brushes including wire, nylon, bamboo, husks, and more, always pairing surfaces with contrasting textures. Sometimes it is a drumhead, sometimes its a desk or the floor. The brush is the instrument, and the tool becomes the tone.
