Detail Drums is a zoomed-in drum kit. Instead of thinking about the kit as a whole, this lets you focus on each element one at a time. Need just a snare? Now you’ve got rim shots, flams, side hits, center hits, and more—all with round robins, all with dynamic layers. The same goes for hi-hats, cymbals, and kicks. So when you need just one drum, but you want more than just one kind of hit, you have everything you need to make it feel natural, expressive, and alive.
There are 19,000 samples and 20 different patches for kick, snare, tom, hat and cymbals. You can play them one at a time as a kit, or you can pick and choose and layer them into whatever production style works best for you. Yes, it means that you end up with each element on a separate track—but a lot of producers play each drum individually anyway. And the end result? A different way of thinking about drum programming.
How it works:
Super simple. It’s all in one library for Kontakt. Use the dropdown menu or arrows to choose kit elements. Then there are controls for mono close mic, stereo overhead mic, punch (transient master attack), push (transient master release) and four helpful eq bands.
