I wanted to create a Theremin library that was an interesting substitute for strings. Something Mellotron-ish and lofi. These samples were performed with that in mind, evolving like a string player or singer would. Create lush string-like textures and parts by combining different theremin tones on different tracks. In this demo I played the keyboard in, split the notes to a new track per pitch, automated the pitch bend per part and then gave each note a slightly different tone/filter/lofi setting.

How it works:

Select or key-switch between four different theremin performances. The first three are different tones of expressive theremin and the last is a straighter tone intended for bass. The interface has controls for ADSR, filter, width, tremolo (time synced), lofi (bit, sample rate and type), delay and reverb. The lofi section is particularly cool for different tone options.

Articulations;

Theremin 1, Theremin 2, Theremin 3, Theremin Bass
